You may have qualified as an Open Water Diver several years ago and you have decided to get back in the water and develop your skills.  It is also possible that you have only recently completed your Open Water course but you enjoyed it so much that you really want to get back into the water to learn more skills and enjoy a few dives.  Whatever your motivation, the PADI Advanced Open Water course should help.

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is really a series of separate dives known as Adventure Dives.  There is choice of 15 different dives that can be completed.  The dives can be spread over as long a period as you like as they are all “experience” dives.

Here at Sussex Scuba we have put together a true course that includes five dives really designed to improve your all round dive skills, while at the same time making sure they are fun dives.  The course normally takes place at Stoney Cove in Leicester – mainly because it is one of the few places inland where we can get sufficient depth.  It is also a very good location, with good facilities and usually good visibility.  All the dives include a heavy emphasis on buoyancy control, regardless of what the particular dive is.  For example when we complete the deep dive, instead of just going straight down holding onto a vertical line, we take you down what was the old quarry road.  As this is a gradual slope to the bottom you need to make almost constant changes to the amount of air in your BCD both there and back again.  This is a real test of good buoyancy.  Of course before we take you on this dive we have already done the Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive to really improve your buoyancy and control skills.

Once you have completed this course with Sussex Scuba your skills will have improved tremendously, you will fell more confident in the water and you will have fed your hunger for more dives !! and even better dive experiences.
